Indonesia is set to host one of its most anticipated technology, ICT, and IOT events of the year with the Indonesia International Smart City (IISMEX) 2024 Expo & Forum. Scheduled to take place on 18 - 20 September 2024 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia, this annual exposition promises to be a hub of innovation, collaboration, and exploration of cutting-edge smart city solutions.

Collaborating with the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Director General of Regional Administration, PT Napindo Media Ashatama, as the organiser of IISMEX 2024, stands as a beacon of technological advancement and urban development, offering a comprehensive platform for businesses, policymakers, and enthusiasts alike to converge, exchange ideas, and forge partnerships in the realm of smart cities.

As we embark on the monumental journey of developing the Nusantara capital, IISMEX 2024 will play a pivotal role, aligning seamlessly with President Joko Widodo's vision for a forward-thinking Indonesia. The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) will implement the Smart and Sustainable Forest City concept, aligning with the government's vision to promote the creation of a smart city that offers harmony between urban utilization and coexistence with nature. The development of OIKN is driven by planning that integrates technological foundations into city governance to meet the needs of the community and provide services efficiently, effectively, and openly.

There are 12 fundamental sectors that have been identified for the development of projects in IKN, including renewable energy, telecommunication networks, transportation, housing, water treatment, waste management, technology infrastructure, commercial infrastructure, medical facilities, social and public facilities, education facilities, and a green industrial zone.

IISMEX 2024 is part of Integrated Technology Event (ITE) 2024, stands as a remarkable convergence of six impactful international exhibitions and forums, namely, IISMEX, Indo Water, Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, and Indo Firex 2024 Expo & Forum.
