Goldwind Science&Technology Co., Ltd. [SHE: 002202] has been recognized by Energy Business Review Magazine as the exclusive recipient of “Top Clean Energy Development and Management in APAC 2026,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry, and is also named among “Top Energy Consulting Firms In APAC,” reflecting its broader leadership. This profile has been developed by the Energy Business Review research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with Cao Zhigang, President and Vice Chairman.

Goldwind’s wind turbine portfolio centres on permanent magnet direct-drive (PMDD) technology, which eliminates the conventional gearbox and reduces the number of moving components in the drivetrain. This design avoids gearbox-related maintenance requirements and supports turbine availability. The company offers onshore and offshore wind solutions, including turbine supply, engineering, installation and lifecycle services, with configurations adapted to site conditions and grid requirements.
Clean-energy projects require close coordination among engineering teams, contractors and suppliers. Goldwind DEEP™ Project brings project planning, task coordination, supervision, document management, issue tracking and knowledge management into one platform, helping teams track responsibilities, organise records and resolve issues as work progresses. Goldwind also reports improvements in construction time, collaboration efficiency and resource utilisation through the platform.
Goldwind’s support continues after a wind farm becomes operational. Its services include maintenance, spare parts, component repairs, software upgrades and technical improvements, helping operators keep turbines running and maintain performance over time.
Extending Digital Intelligence Across Energy Systems
Goldwind’s DEEP™ digital platform supports different stages of clean-energy development and management. DEEP™ Project helps coordinate engineering and construction, DEEP™ SOAM supports asset operations, and DEEP™ Efficiency focuses on energy and carbon management. Together, these tools help teams coordinate projects, monitor asset performance and manage energy use.
DEEP™ SOAM focuses on the information needed to manage operating assets. Its digital capabilities support the monitoring and analysis of asset performance, helping operators assess equipment conditions and make more informed maintenance and operational decisions. This extends Goldwind’s role from supplying generation equipment to supporting the management of assets once they are in service. The value of such systems lies in helping operators use available operational information to identify issues, plan interventions and maintain oversight of day-to-day performance.
DEEP™ Efficiency addresses a related challenge at the level of energy consumption. Its integrated energy and carbon management capabilities bring together connected data and analytical tools to support energy monitoring, consumption analysis, operational planning and emissions management. For industrial customers, this creates a more coordinated view of energy use and carbon performance, helping them assess how energy is consumed and how renewable supply can contribute to their operating requirements.
Goldwind’s New Hope Liuhe Beijing Smart Farm project illustrates how these capabilities can be applied at an individual industrial site. The company installed a 2 MW rooftop solar power system alongside an energy and carbon management platform that monitors electricity consumption and solar generation. According to Goldwind’s published case study, the project has achieved a green-power share exceeding 22%, annual carbon emissions reductions of 1,896 tonnes and annual electricity cost savings above RMB 510,000.
The project demonstrates how renewable generation and digital management can address connected environmental and operating priorities. The rooftop installation provides a source of clean electricity, while the platform helps the operator understand consumption patterns and the contribution of solar power to its energy needs. Rather than treating renewable generation and energy management as separate activities, the project brings them together within one operating environment.
Goldwind extends its zero-carbon solutions to industrial parks and urban infrastructure, combining energy planning, digital management, carbon monitoring and clean-energy projects. These solutions help industrial operators manage energy supply, consumption and emissions together, while its smart-city initiatives apply the same approach to regional energy planning and infrastructure development.
Translating Integration into Practical Value
The relationship between Goldwind’s capabilities is central to its clean-energy offering. Wind turbine technology supports electricity generation, engineering and project management services help coordinate project delivery, and operations and maintenance provide continuing technical support. Digital platforms complement these activities by helping operators manage assets and monitor energy consumption and emissions.
These capabilities address different challenges across the clean-energy lifecycle. During development, project teams must coordinate technical requirements, suppliers, documentation and construction activities. Once a wind farm is operational, owners need to manage equipment performance, maintenance requirements and changing operating conditions. Industrial customers face another set of demands, balancing energy consumption with production needs while monitoring costs and carbon emissions.
Goldwind brings together wind turbine technology, project services and digital tools to support clean-energy projects from development through operation. Its New Hope Liuhe Beijing Smart Farm project illustrates this approach, combining rooftop solar generation with energy monitoring and reported reductions in emissions and electricity costs.
Across APAC, expanding renewable energy capacity is only part of the challenge. Operators must also manage equipment performance, energy consumption and emissions. Goldwind’s combination of generation technology, lifecycle services and digital energy management addresses these connected needs.
Its recognition as Top Clean Energy Development and Management in APAC 2026 reflects this integrated approach. By extending its work beyond turbine supply to project delivery, ongoing maintenance and energy management, Goldwind supports both the development of clean-energy infrastructure and its long-term operation.
